Story Time!

Hello, everybody!

There is a new page on my website for those of you who enjoy a little short fiction to cleanse your palate between novels. At the moment there is only one story, but more will follow.

Our first tale, ‘The Problem’ is a flash fiction story of a hitman whose morning is not quite going the way he’d expected, but he soon sets things right.

Some of you may already be familiar with it, but for those of you that are not, you can find the download link here:

August book winners and Claw resurgence update!

Hello everyone!

It’s that time again! This month I will be drawing for an audiobook copy of ABANDONED Book 1 for one lucky winner, and another fortunate soul will receive an autographed copy of ABANDONED Book 1. Once again, to those of you who are Katie Berry Books Insiders, please make sure to whitelist any emails from me, so you can be notified if you win! I have had several winners who have yet to contact me due to my emails going into their spam folders. So keep an eye out; you could be one of this month’s lucky winners!

And in book release related news, CLAW Resurgence is coming along nicely, with an expected release at the end of this month. I apologise for those of you looking forward to a late summer release, but as I mentioned last month, I am about three weeks off of my projected release dates due to my surgery. However, I am back and 100% once again, and things are progressing nicely. I am still aiming for a Halloween release of ABANDONED Book 3, but we’ll have to see how it goes. When I send out the next winners email at the beginning of next month, I will update everyone again at that time.

And before I forget, this month’s lucky winners are:

Congratualtions to you both! For a full winners list go here:

Thank you all, once again for your continued support and allowing me to do what I love each day. You are all rock stars. 🙂

Good health and great reads,

CLAW Resurgence cover and story reveal

Hi everyone!

The cover to CLAW Resurgence is now available for your viewing pleasure.

After the quake in January, Lawless, BC, is still recovering from the damage inflicted upon the small town by Mother Nature, both geologic and otherwise. Now, many months later, things are just starting to return to normal. The holidays are fast approaching, and the city is preparing for its brand new winter festival to celebrate the reconstruction and reopening of the calamity prone mountain town.

Without giving anything further away, I will say that if you enjoyed CLAW: A Canadian Thriller, you should enjoy Resurgence just as much. Everyone is back, with new friends and foes to make things even more interesting.

Feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think!

Enjoy the rest of your summer, and I will give another update very soon.

Good health and great read,

July draw winners, CLAW Resurgence and ABANDONED Book 3 update!

Hi everyone!

For those of you who’d prefer to listen, here is a podcast of the blog post.

For those of you in the northern hemisphere, I hope your summer has been going well and that you’re staying cool. We have another couple of lucky winners of an audiobook and autographed copy of one of my novels. This month I am featuring ABANDONED Book 1 – Arrivals and Awakenings to allow our lucky winners to cool down a little from the summer heat and enjoy a stay at the Sinclair Hotel high atop Overseer Mountain.

Our lucky winners for July are:

Thank you so much to all of my Katie Berry Books Insider subscribers. You are all entered into the recurring draws each and every month, so if you didn’t win this time, there is always next month!

CLAW Resurgence

CLAW Resurgence Cover Partial Reveal

Over the past several months, I have been hard at work on the sequel to CLAW, CLAW Resurgence. It is going very well, and I believe anyone who enjoyed CLAW will find plenty to love in the sequel. All of your favourite characters are back, along with some new ones that will keep things more than interesting. I am revealing part of Resurgence’s cover today, with the full image to come sometime later this month.

At this point, I should mention that I had some major surgery back at the beginning of June and am recovering nicely. However, this has added a slight delay to the production of Resurgence. For a period of almost three weeks, I was unable to work on it due to not feeling well enough or present enough to commit words to paper, so to speak. This means that there may be a delay of that many weeks before Resurgence is released. I realise I had planned on a late summer release, which I am still aiming for, but it could very well be early fall instead. I would like to apologise to those of you eagerly anticipating this novel, but when I announce tentative release dates, that’s precisely what they are, tentative. I could bring up my Orson Welles and Almaden wines analogy again at this point, but I think I have mentioned it a few times over the last little while and will give it a rest for now. However, I believe CLAW Resurgence will be worth the wait, and I thank you one and all for your patience and understanding. Sometimes, life gets in the way, and my surgery was one of those times. Fortunately, I am almost 100% once more (actually about 95%), and things are back on track.

The third book in the ABANDONED series is also in production, and I am still looking at a Halloween release and am working my hardest to get it done, along with CLAW Resurgence. Unlike some authors out there, I am only one person, not a ‘collective’ of a dozen writers as some authors are, who write under a single pen name and release a book or two per month. Think of me a boutique winery (what is it with me and wine?) that releases a quality product when it is ready for release and not before.

In closing, thanks once again for your patience and continued support. I hope the rest of your summer is everything you want it to be, and hopefully more.

Good health and great reads to you all,

-Katie Berry

Sale Time!

Flash Sale! ABANDONED: A Lively Deadmarsh Novel Book 1 and CLAW: A Canadian Thriller on sale for a limited time for .99 Cent Worldwide!

And now, a quick note to those of you looking forward to the sequel to CLAW: A Canadian Thriller, CLAW Resurgence. Lawless is just as exciting as it ever was, and the story is progressing nicely. During my recent visit chronicling the latest developments around town, I can happily tell you that your favourite characters from the first book are back; funnier, friendlier, and in more danger than ever before. There will be new characters to meet as well, and I think you will find them intriguing, to say the least. I believe your upcoming stay in Lawless this summer will be as enjoyable as your last.

I bid you all good health and great reads!

Hello Everbody!

I hope your May has been going well.
