Now Available: CLAW

“Nearly impossible to put down. Great characters and pretty much constant action with no silly filler and irrelevant sections. Wish there might be a sequel. Interesting premise too. Could almost be real.”
“One of the Best New Authors I have come across.”
“Different approach to a retro monster. Loved it and so will you. Could be a good horror movie as well.”
“A great creature feature read. You want to keep going and find out what happens next to the characters and villains!”

Lawless, British Columbia is on edge after a powerful earthquake jolts the region, quickly followed by a string of savage animal attacks. Newly stationed to the area after her predecessor mysteriously disappears, Conservation Officer Christine Moon needs to calm the jangled nerves of the small mountain town

Awakened from ancient slumber, something stalks the swirling, grey mists that surround Lawless. A beast with a gnawing hunger that grows stronger by the minute — its only thought, to satisfy its ravenous appetite.

Rampant corruption at the highest level has targeted Christine to be the next mysterious disappearance. Now, she’s in a fight for her life while trying to track and contain the creature threatening to decimate the local population.

    1. Thank you, James! That is exactly the sort of thing I want people to say as their reading my book — I’m so glad you enjoyed it. 🙂

  1. Just finished Claw and it was fun. Especially liked Christine Moon. She was strong when she needed to be but was not looking to be offended.

    1. Thank you, Gary, I’m so glad you like the book! And I’m especially glad you like Christine — she has a lot of me in her. 🙂

    1. Thank you so much! I am very glad you enjoyed the book! I am currently editing my next book which will be out this fall. It is going to be a series with a continuing character. The first one is set in an abandoned resort where 98 people disappeared at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve 1981 never to be seen again. I hope you’ll enjoy that, too. And after that, I am planning a sequel for CLAW. 🙂

    1. Hi Connie! Thank you SO much! It’s always fabulous to hear from another visitor to Lawless, British Columbia! But don’t be sad, there IS a sequel (not quite announced) to CLAW coming next spring, CLAW: Resurgence. Also, not yet announced, either, but I have just completed contract negotiations for an audiobook of CLAW! Arriving this fall, it will be produced by a major audiobook production studio, Recorded Books. Also, just revealed yesterday here on my site, the cover of my next novel, which I think you might enjoy, ABANDONED: A Lively Deadmarsh Novel. Please sign up for my email list, or follow me on Facebook, if you wish, then you’ll be able to keep right up to date. Thanks again for your kind words, it is always nice to know there will be more visitors returning to Lawless for another vacation next year. 🙂

  5. Well, there certainly is a new author of horror on the scene. Her first book ‘Claw” is riveting from beginning to end. Has well defined characters; especially the Conservation Officer Moon. Can’t wait for her next book. Well done, Katie!

    1. Hi Dale! Thank you! The sequel to CLAW will be released next spring. In the meantime, this fall will see the release of ABANDONED. It is set in the same universe as CLAW with references to people and places in Lawless, BC. And if you read that, you will have some clues and insights regarding CLAW: Resurgence. Thank you for your interest and support!
